SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
The Confucius Institute with the Ohio Appalachian Center for Higher Education offered a pilot summer enrichment program for a group of students completing fifth, sixth, or seventh grades.
The free program, " Be a Chinese Tiger - online" is a collaboration of OACHE, Kent State East Liverpool, Buckeye Online School for Success and the Confucius Institute at Kent State University.
The program was an introduction to the Chinese Language and Culture. The program was online from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, June 15 to June 26. There was other online time for interaction with the instructor.
The free pilot class consisted of 20 students throughout Ohio Appalachia.
