The following application materials need to be submitted
- Three letters of reference. Use online reference forms available at http://www.ehhs.kent.edu/ogs/Documents/LetterofRecommendationForm_000.pdf. Once complete, this form has to be sent to the College and Graduate School of Education, Health, and Human Services (see address below).
- A resume.
- A letter describing applicant’s professional and research goals.
- One (1) official transcripts from all Colleges/ Universities attended (except Kent State University graduates).

selection criteria
All submitted materials are considered in the selection of candidates. The following criteria are used in the selection process.
Grade Point Average (GPA)
You must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above to be accepted into the graduate program. If you do not have an overall GPA of 3.0 you may receive "conditional acceptance" into the graduate program, upon recommendation of the faculty.
Letter Describing Professional and Research Goals
This is your opportunity to tell us about yourself, your professional and research goals, and why the Kent State University MS program in Hospitality and Tourism Management is the right fit for you. In addition, style, organization, and grammar are important.
Work Experience
Prior work experience in hospitality or tourism is preferred.
Letters of Recommendation
Applicants are encouraged to obtain references from faculty members and employers who will be able to assess your potential for graduate education. Personal references should be avoided.
graduate assistantship
An appointment made by Kent State University to full-time graduates who display a high level of scholarship and academic excellence.
