The IRC offers a wide variety of equipment and services for College of Education, Health, and Human Services faculty, staff, and students.
Video Dubbing, Conversion, Editing
All video stations are first-come, first-serve and are self-serve. The IRC provides stations to copy VHS tapes and convert digital videotapes to VHS or digital files. If you need instructions on how to complete these tasks, please ask at the IRC front desk.
Fingerprinting
The IRC now offers electronic fingerprinting for a state background check ($25 cash or check) and a federal background check ($30 cash or check). For more details about payment, processing times, etc. see our detailed information on fingerprinting.
Printing
Black and white printing may be done with a FlashCard via Uniprint in any computer lab (203, 205, 211) and in the IRC (221). If you do not have a FlashCard with money on it, you can add money to your FlashCard online with a credit card or debit card. You can also add money to your card by inserting cash into a FlashCard machine. The closest machines are in the Business Building and the Kent State Library.
You can also pay us $.10 per page and we can swipe our FlashCard for you. Color printing is available in the IRC, just bring the file to the front desk and they will send it to the printer, payable with cash or check. Color poster printing (24" wide) is also in the IRC and must be done via either PowerPoint or Photoshop payable via cash or check. To format a document for the poster printer, please follow these instructions. Then bring this file to the IRC for poster printing.
Copying
There is a color copier available in the IRC payable by IDC, cash or check. The black and white copier is payable by FlashCard. If you do not have a FlashCard with money on it, you can add money to your FlashCard online with a credit card or debit card. Purchase
The IRC sells items for certain ITEC courses including Front Page ($30). Protocols for tests in the IRC are for sale as well, and price varies according to test. All purchases except for black and white printing/copying must be paid for via cash or check. Additional items for sale include:

Patrons must pay with cash, check, or departmental charge. Patrons are allowed to charge things to a department provided they have a departmental charge form on file with their name on it in the IRC.
