Welcome back to the 2007-2008 academic year. A special welcome to the Freshmen who arrived in the blistering August heat to make EHHS their new home. You have each come here in search of preparation for a career in a profession that helps others -- whether they are young children, adolescents or older adults and whether they are physically able or have some sort of challenge to face in life. You are preparing to work in a wide variety of settings that include schools, labs, health care facilities, social/community agencies, recreation and park facilities, clubs, restaurants, etc. We want you to know that we are here to serve you in the newly renovated Office of Student Services. Note that we have moved from 306 White Hall to 304 White Hall. The new OSS provides advising, field and student teaching placement coordination, and other services as described on our website at www.ehhs.kent.edu/oss. We hope that you will visit us often and learn about ways to make the most of your time in EHHS. We wish you much success in your academic and professional journey. |
