Trumbull County MetroParks is looking for an intern who is responsible, enthusiastic, willing to learn and is a self-starter. The intern will plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs throughout their internship. They will also be required to create presentations for meetings and provide logistical support as needed. This person will report directly to the Project Coordinator and will assist in all phases of parks and recreation management. The Environmental Education Instructor duties include teaching school children, developing public programs and activities for families and summer camps. Other potential programs the instructor can teach are the nine weeks of summer nature and adventure camp as well as voyageur canoeing program, lake ecology studies and nature restoration. This position interacts in many ways with the public. Instructors work one weekend day per week and some evenings. Temporary Position: June Through November. Location: Deerfield, IL. Wage: $10.25/hr. Brimfield Township Parks and Recreation Department will be hiring responsible, enthusiastic and fun-loving counselors to work in our Summer Day Camp program this year. The program runs Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm for ten weeks and includes a weekly topic, library visit and field trip. You will be expected to direct and participate in daily sports, crafts and activities with the children, as well as, some preparation, set-up and clean-up and record keeping.
